Fundraising Policy                                    

YST is a non-profit organization. In order to purchase and maintain our equipment we must engage in fundraising. We hold one MANDATORY fundraiser every year, our annual USA Swimming Foundation Swim-A-Thon. Each swimmer will be required to raise a pre-determined minimum amount. If your family does not meet the minimum requirement your account will be billed at the close of the month the Swim-A- Thon is held in. This is an annual commitment and will not be prorated should you take time off or leave the team. 

HOW DOES SWIM-A-THON HELP THE USA SWIMMING FOUNDATION?

Since 2012, more than $1.4 million has been contributed in support of the USA Swimming Foundation's mission to save lives and build champions from teams hosting a USA Swimming Foundation Swim-a-Thon. Teams sign a contract to contribute 5% (or more) of the gross proceeds from their event to the Foundation. Each year many teams choose to contribute more than 5%, with some teams making the USA Swimming Foundation their charity of choice by donating 100% of their proceeds back to the USA Swimming Foundation!

Other fundraising opportunities include sponsorships and our annual golf tournament. We appreciate any thoughts and ideas you may have for fundraising.
